I have been wagering on sports since 2004.  I am not a professional handicapper.  Rather, I diligently track the opinions of numerous handicappers, evaluate these data, and then isolate the strongest pick for the day.  (To read more about this strategy, click on the "Methodology" link.)

I view wagering on sports as an investment, and like with the other investment vehicles that I have (e.g., 401(k) plan, certificate of deposit, etc.), I treat my sportsbook accounts with the same level of prudence.  As I have discovered, with strict adherence to a money management system, it is very possible to attain a significant return on your investment by wagering on sports.

Throughout my course of sports betting I have discovered that one of the best approaches to maximizing your ROI over the long run is to isolate the strongest pick for the day, and to be disciplined with your money management system.  I am confident enough in this type of betting strategy that I list the details of my INCLUSIVE win/loss and ROI results on a daily basis, which is very uncommon in this industry.  (In other words, I don’t “hide” the losses and post the win streaks…all results will always be posted on the “Results” tab.)

You'll notice on my website that I also list a free pick of the day, which essentially represents the second strongest pick.  Though I certainly try to attain a strong winning percentage with my free picks, I do not count the free picks in my win percent and ROI calculations.  If you do decide to place wagers based on the free picks, I suggest adopting an alternate money management system with these free picks.

As you may be able to glean from this page, I treat sports betting very seriously.  I realize that there are a lot of fly-by-night sports betting enterprises out there, but I can assure you that I run my business based on honesty and integrity.  As such, I will ALWAYS post the results of all my premium picks, and you will have access to all these historical data since inception of The Consensus Pick, Inc.  (I place a wager on every premium pick that I post, which is why the lines you see on this site will be more representative of the lines that are being offered to the general public.)  Furthermore, you will never see me using the words "lock" or "guaranteed pick."  My goal is to provide you with a positive net ROI and a consistent winning percentage over the long run.

I attained a bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a master's degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
